After a family vacation to Italy, these homeowners wanted to bring some Tuscan style to their home. Their early 1970's kitchen and hearth room needed some updating. We started by removing the half wall between the kitchen and the hearth room; replacing it with a bar height

counter and built in cabinets. After refinishing all of the cabinetry and replacing the counter tops we achieved the feel of Tuscany by giving the walls and woodwork a distressed, aged and weathered finish. We completed the project with a slate tile floor, like those found in the outside dining area of an Old Italian family restaurant. The look achieved here is an ancient, crumbling stucco-over-masonry facade. Remember, no matter how unique the remodeling needs; if it can be imagined, we can build it.
